A building automation system (BAS) connects sensors and controllers that monitor and run a building's heating, ventilation and air conditioning automatically, keeping temperature, humidity and air quality on target without constant manual adjustment. With Vector Controls, each controller speaks BACnet and Modbus natively and can run on its own built-in web interface or report to a larger building management system.

Premier Energy Controls is the U.S. dealer representative for Vector Controls, based in Champlin, Minnesota. We supply BTL-listed, open-protocol BACnet and Modbus controllers, sensors and transmitters to contractors, integrators and specifying engineers for light-commercial and high-end residential projects. Electric radiant heating is available through our partner, Premier Energy USA.

Often, yes. Vector controllers are built for the middle ground: buildings that have outgrown a thermostat but can't justify a licensed building management system. Offices, restaurants, churches, multi-family buildings and schools get real DDC control and a built-in browser interface, without per-point licensing or a head-end server.

Yes. Retrofits are a core use. Vector controllers replace pneumatic or basic thermostats and aging unitary controls, and they drop into an existing Niagara, Metasys or Distech system without expanding its licensed point count. If the building has no head-end at all, each controller has its own built-in web interface.

It depends on the size of the building and the equipment being controlled, so we quote each project from your drawings, prints or site photos. With Vector Controls, the cost is the controller hardware itself: no software, hardware or distribution licenses, no per-point fees, and the X2, EasySet and EasyX2 software is free. Many jobs also need no head-end server, because each controller has its own web interface.
